I remember back then, I received a call. I was inside my office room, in one of the best, oldest and biggest law firms in Malaysia. The pay is good, the food is good (yes, they provide us evening tea and dinner) and the colleagues are like family members.
But something is missing somewhere. I dont know, might be the job scope that I hate, or because I was too attached to my work, I thought I had lost my sanity with my workloads. I had to wake up to do something that I hate dislike.
And I know myself.
So yeah, back to the phone call.. Little did I know, that phone call will change my life.
Remember that God says He will give you the path to goodness? I think that was one of the paths, part of the journey.
Pardon me of my forgetfulness, but whhen Kak Mar called me and asked whether I am interested to be under TFTN Finance Team, I answered, "Heh, TFTN tu apa?"
So from that one phone call, we met and planned a Charity Garage Sale to get the fund for TFTN along with other teammates. All planned in a week, okay?
And from one garage sale to another. I admit it was tiring. But TFTN needs money to run; books to provide, learning aid for the volunteers, and workshops, forums, etc.
And baaam, the Dinner is on.
And voila, it came out pretty well. 3 months planned, collected a huge sum of money for a 1 year 4 months "home".
We have a book (YES A BOOK ! A B.O.O.K and a song!)
And I celebrated this mini success with a nice-10 minutes mini massage from Wardani. I had 3 twisted veins, at the back of my shoulder. It was painful, had to bare with it for about 3 weeks or so, and with her magical touch, (I seriously believe that she has the talent), pain all gone. Imagine if it was a 1 hour massage. Must be reallllyyy good! God bless her & keep her talent!
So yeah, back to "home", remember that God says, He will test and help those who do good? I am now a firm believer of this. Trust me from May till July, life wasnt that easy. Not going to complaint (i tried to complain to Mak, but she just (hyperbolically) shot me with her statement "jangan merungut, kau kena sikit je, orang lain lagi teruk, ingat tu") but I can say what i had experience in these past few months, are priceless and full of blessings. I'd say it was a humble experience.
My 10 months relationship with TFTN is full of love and inspiring. The burning passion you see in Husna, Loqman, Zazrene, Nia..you can see it in their eyes. The happiness of anak-anak TFTN, knowing that these kakak and abang are there to 'teman' them, you can see it in their smile, can feel it in their warm, random hugs, and yet again, those honest eyes.
Remember that God says, He who has compassion, has the best character? They have it. They have it all.
I dont know how long will I live, how long will I get the chance to see those eyes, how l will I get again, be inspired by them, kids & volunteers. But as of now, I thank you God for your blessings, kindness and love.
All is full of love!
